Transportation Update 🚌

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we begin the new school year together. This morning the transportation plan worked very smoothly. As a reminder — if you are dropping your student off at an elementary campus where they will catch a shuttle bus to another campus, please be sure to have them there by 7:20 a.m. each morning. This will help ensure that shuttles depart on time and students arrive at their destination ready to start the day.

We know the first days of a new plan can bring some challenges, and our afternoon transportation plan still has a few kinks we need to work out. Our team will be actively working on solutions tomorrow to make the process smoother for everyone.

At this time, there are no changes for parents to make—we just ask for your continued patience and understanding as we transition to this new system. Thank you for helping us ensure a safe and efficient dismissal for all students.

🚸 The First Day is Here! 🚌✨ Monday marks the first day of school for our students, and that means our school buses will be back on the road! Please help us keep every child safe by remembering: ✔ Slow down in school zones. ✔ Stay alert—kids may be crossing streets unexpectedly. ✔ STOP for buses when their red lights are flashing and the stop arm is extended. The graphic below shows the law where vehicles must stop for school buses. Let’s all work together so every student arrives at school and back home safely. 💛 📢 Drive like their lives depend on it—because they do. We can't wait to see all our Raiders tomorrow!

Riverview High School was well represented at the 46th Annual session of Arkansas Governor’s School. This year, RHS had both students and faculty in attendance. Johnathan Peek and Julianne Ramsey were among the top 370 students in the State of Arkansas who studied in specialized areas at Arkansas Tech University—Johnathan (Math) Julianne (Visual Art) These students have earned the prestige of being an Arkansas Governor’s School Alumni, which can lead them to many post secondary opportunities. Mrs. Hicks and Mrs. McCullough both were selected by the Arkansas Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to serve as Area 3 (Personal and Social Growth) instructors. AGS currently has at total 36 instructors, with only seven of them being public school teachers. Riverview is currently the only school district in the state with two instructors who are AGS faculty. It’s a great day to be a Raider! #EducatingforExcellence

District-Wide Office Closure – Monday, August 4

Please be advised that the District Office and all school building offices will be closed on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM for a scheduled District Meeting.

Normal office hours will resume at 1:00 PM that day. We appreciate your understanding and support as our staff engages in important planning and collaboration to prepare for the upcoming school year.

If you need assistance, please plan to visit or call before or after the closure period. Thank you!

Reminder: Football practices start Aug. 4th at 3:30 sharp for all 8-12th graders. Be ready to go with helmets, t-shirts and shorts. If you don’t have your equipment be at the field house at by 3 to pick it up. Players should wear black athletic shorts. Football parent’s meeting (all ages) is at 7:30pm on Monday in the High School commons area. After Open House.
