Ms. Taylor's Biology classes playing the Mutation Game! They each have a "mutated beak" to collect food. Students discovered that mutations can be harmful and beneficial. When a mutated trait is beneficial then that trait will be passed on to the next generation. Good work by our students!!

Riverview School District will be open Tuesday January 23, 2024. Buses will run their normal routes and buildings will be on their normal bell schedule.

For the past three years the Riverview School District has conducted surveys with parents. This data has been very valuable in guiding the strategic plan for the district and other improvements. Results from past surveys can be found on the district website under strategic plan.
It is time for the 2023-2024 school year survey. The survey should take less than 15 minutes. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey using the links below. The deadline for completion is February 2, 2024.

Unfortunately, the forecast is not changing and the freezing rain is scheduled to be in our area between 6:00 am and 10:00 am. It is too risky to put buses and people driving on the roads during that time period. Therefore, there will be no school in the Riverview School District on Monday, January 22. Our last day of school will now be May 31, 2024. Thank you for your understanding as we make these difficult decisions.

The Riverview School District is monitoring the weather closely for tomorrow morning. Safety is our top priority while still trying to have school when possible. Unfortunately, the district is on the line for possible freezing rain. Therefore, we will continue to monitor the weather forecast throughout the evening but it may be necessary to wait until Monday morning to make a final decision on whether or not to have school Monday. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Inclement Weather Modified Bus Routes for Friday Jan 19, 2024.
In order to assure the safest possible transportation due to inclement weather, the Riverview transportation department has developed bus routes to be used only in case of iced over and snow bound roads, and those roads that are impassible because of high water. Students must be carried to a location along these routes outlined by this policy. Continue to monitor this information in case of a route change.
Snow Route Bus #44 will run only on highway 367 from Searcy to the Hay’s store. Highway 13 (cw road) and Hopkins Drive back to Judsonia Elementary School only. Students that ride this bus or another bus and live off of highway 367 will ride this bus.
Snow Route Bus #40 will run highway 157 from highway 367 to highway 258 and return to Judsonia Elementary School. Students that live along that route will ride this bus (whether or not this is your regular bus).
Snow Route Bus #45 will pick up Brock Addition students at the corner of Forey Street highway 367.
Snow Route Bus #39 will run Madison Street and Eastline and return back to Judsonia Elementary School. Students along this route, including across the tracks in Depot Town must catch the bus on this route (this bus will not cross the railroad tracks).
Snow Route Bus #48 will run Rocky Point Road, highway 258 and Missile Base Road. Students living along this route will meet the bus on these roads.
Snow Route Bus #41 will run highway 36 east to highway 323 to highway 11 and back to Kensett Elementary School. Students along this route must catch the bus on these roads.
Snow Route Bus #46 will run Bailey Road to Higginson, highway 11 to Griffithville, and highway 385 back to Kensett. Students along this route must catch the bus on these roads.
Snow Route Bus #42 will run highway 367 to Booth Road and back to Morning Sun, then highway 11 to Higginson, and Morrow Church Road to highway 385 and back to Kensett. Students along this route must catch the bus on these roads.

The Riverview School Board meeting scheduled for tonight (Thursday, Jan. 18) has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

Good afternoon! There will be no school in the Riverview School District on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Unfortunately, as we drove snow routes today, only 3 of the 13 snow routes are safe to put a bus on at this point. We hope that more melting will occur in the next few days to allow school to resume. Safety is our top priority and ensuring that our buses have safe roads to drive on is necessary. Currently, with the cancellations this week, the last day of school will now be May 30, 2024.
