Riverview Parents and Guardians, The Riverview School District has been advised throughout the day on incoming severe weather in our area, including torrential rains and wind gusts. For the safety of our students and staff, the district will dismiss all classes at 2:00 PM. Our district will also be monitoring the weather event in our area and will make a decision on tomorrow's course of action at a later time.

Grade level data meetings looked a little different this year! One goal of RJHS is students keeping track of their own data. Coach Hill met with all on campus and virtual students simultaneously using Google Meets! We are all learning and adapting to the current times, just as our vision statement implies- Focusing Forward For Success!

Good afternoon! We have had a great second day at school! If your student(s) is a car rider, you will find car tags in their backpack this afternoon. The car tags MUST be displayed on the visor of your car or hung from the rearview mirror. If the car tag is not visible, you will be asked to come inside the school and show your ID before you can pick up your student(s). If your student gets home another way you will receive car tags later this week. At some point, if your student is a car rider, please follow this procedure.

JES Virtual Families- In an effort to better serve you we will be changing the BREAKFAST “grab and go” meal pick up time. Please pick up breakfast for virtual students from 8:10-8:30am. This will allow the carline to disperse so that you can get in and out easily. Lunch will remain at the same time. Thank you for your understanding.

We are gearing up on Google Meets! 😊 JES had wonderful sessions across the campus today. Please be patient if you haven’t had a meet session yet. We are all learning this process together. Virtual students need to watch in Google classroom for assignments and meet invites. Thanks for working with us!💜

Judsonia Elementary School First Day of School We are so excited to see everyone back in the classrooms tomorrow whether you have chosen onsite or virtual! This year will look a little different, but one thing that remains the same is the devotion each teacher has to deliver a top-notch education for the Riverview School District. We ask for patience and understanding as we travel through unchartered territory. Our teachers have worked diligently in the past few weeks to prepare for digital learning. This has all been done in harmony with readying their room for the return of students. I wanted to take a minute and share a few things for tomorrow. • Students cannot enter the building before 7:30am. Please do not drop before then. • As students enter (whether car or bus) they will be greeted by our Cafeteria staff with a Grab and Go Breakfast. This will be taken with them directly to their homeroom. • Staff will be in place with class rosters to help students find their way to class. • Homeroom teachers will check each student with a homeroom touchless thermometer. • The majority of the day will try to remain the same. We will have physical activity for children to burn energy. We will (at this time) utilize the cafeteria for lunches. Students will have access to PE, ART, MUSIC, LIBRARY, TECH, COUNSELING, and so much more. • Bus Riders will still be dropped off and picked up in the front of the building. • Car Riders will still be dropped off and picked up in the back of the building. o We are going to try to utilize as much of the road as possible, so we stage the students in the gym. Please continue to do just as last year and the first car in line, wait until given the all clear to pull down to the gym. This is because that road is crossed by our students going to each building during the day. (SAFETY). Thanks for your help with this. We will have adults monitoring the car line, but we will not be handling car doors this year, please have your child ready to open the door. • Due to state mandates and following with the Governor’s directives we will be a closed campus. For public safety and the safety of our student’s we can only allow one family at a time in the office. o If you need to pick up your child or your child becomes ill at school, please pull to the curb and call the school office and someone will bring your child out to you. Thanks for helping us make this a GREAT FIRST DAY!

RHS Parents and Students, We are so excited to welcome our students back to campus tomorrow! Our doors will open at 7:30 am. Because of our current guidelines, you will notice a few changes at the start of our school day: Due to current guidelines, there will be no congregating in the mornings (outside or inside). Students will either go directly to their advisory class, or stop by the cafeteria for a grab-n-go breakfast and report directly to their advisory class. Advisory class is listed as SOAR on your child's schedule under period 9. Please be sure to review this information before entering campus. An email should arrive in your student's account today with a list of advisories for their grade. We will also have lists to pick up in the morning should any student forget or not have access to their schedule. For safety measures, all students are asked to walk forward in the hallways on their right side. Please leave the middle of the halls clear to ensure safety and distancing measures are in place. Once at your advisory class, you will be screened according to current guidelines. If you do not have a mask, the school will distribute these to you at this time. We will also hand out printed schedules to each student and go over our new protocols for the upcoming year. MacBooks and other resources will be distributed during this time as well. Because we cannot yet have school assemblies, your advisory teacher will navigate you through questions you may have about the new school year, including schedule change requests. Because of the current guidelines, visitors are very limited this year and no food deliveries will be accepted through the office of any of our campuses. We appreciate your patience and excitement as we begin the 2020-2021 school year at RHS! Please contact the office for questions or concerns.
